<p>PURPOSE:To provide a fiber-dissociating device reducing the generation of the non-dissociated parts of a waste paper sheet and improving the dissociation efficiency by arranging a pair of nipping plates at places near to the upstream sides of fiber-dissociating rollers and allowing a braking force to act on the transfer of the waste paper sheet on the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:In the fiber dissociation of used waste paper, a preliminarily water-supplied and wetted waste paper sheet 3 is fed between a pair of fiber-dissociating rollers 2a, 2b through a pair of delivering roller 1a, 1b, and subsequently dissociated into paper fibers by the differential rotation of the pair of the rollers 2a, 2b. The fiber-dissociating rollers 2a, 2b have many elastic wires 22 planted on their peripheral surfaces, and are faced to each other in a position relation where the tips of the elastic wires are mutually slightly inserted into each other. A pair of nipping plates 4a having many comb teeth slightly bent in a circular shape and placed in parallel and arranged at places near to the dissociation part of the pair of the fiber-dissociating rollers 2a, 2b and on the upstream side of the direction for feeding the waste paper sheet allow a braking force to act on the transfer of the constant length waste paper sheet 3 fed through the pair of the nipping plates 4a until the rear end of the waste paper sheet 3 substantially coincides with the above dissociation part, thus largely reducing the residual amount of the nontreated part of the waste paper sheet to efficiently dissociate the waste paper sheet.</p> |
