PURPOSE:To obtain the material capable of increasing the function of water beyond expectation at the time of being in contact with water and useful not only in an industry but in the region of sensitivity by sintering a base stock for ceramic containing a specific material at a prescribed temp. or below to increase far infrared emissivity to a specific value or above. CONSTITUTION:The base stock for ceramic containing silicon dioxide, alumina and iron oxide is sintered at <=1250 deg.C to increase far infrared emissivity (20 deg.C surface temp.) to >=0.95. When the far infrared emitting ceramic is allowed to contact with water directly or through a film, the water increases penetration to a material present in the water, which is enriched in hydration ability and shows effects such as antimicrobial activity, deodorization, aggregation and precipitation of a polyvalent cation (making water soft) and corrosion prevention. This is considered that because the frequency of emitted far infrared ray is in the range of stretching vibration or deformation vibration frequency of water molecule bond, far infrared ray is absorbed by resonance to water molecule, the absorbed energy excites hydrogen-oxygen bond to break cluster structure of water and water is made easily movable. |
