PRINTING MEDIUM, METHOD FOR GRASPING STATE OF PRINTING MEANS AND PRINTING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To surely grasp the state of a printing means by providing a supporting body at an opposite surface to an ink adhering surface which supports a main body of a printing medium and is adhesive to an adhesive agent and separable from the adhesive agent. CONSTITUTION:A cloth is used as a first printing medium 10, and a coat paper especially for image printing and supported by a supporting body 6 is used as a main body of a second printing medium 4. The cloth 10 is attached to the surface of a belt 37 by a positioning jig 14. The coat paper 4 is attached to a part of the surface of tone belt 37 not covered with the cloth 10. After the coat paper 4 is attached to a specific position by the positioning jig 14, the positioning jig 14 is removed, and then a test pattern is printed on the coat paper 4. Accordingly, tire belt 37 can be attached to the coat paper 4 without detaching the cloth 10. The discharging state of a printing head can be checked simply via a desired interval while the cloth 10 is kept attached to the belt 37.
