This oven is of the type comprising a cooking enclosure (2) consisting of a tubular oven body (5), and of a lower plate (6) which is rotatable about an axis which is inclined in relation to the vertical and mounted pivotably about a horizontal axis. According to the invention, the plate (6) is arranged in such a manner that, in the cooking position, its external edge (10) does not come into contact with the edge (9) facing the oven body (5) to form at least one upper air passage (28) and one lower air passage (29) between the cooking enclosure (2) and the insulation chamber (3) while the wall of the insulation chamber (3) is passed through locally by a duct (30) which brings it into communication with the ventilated zone (11) of the covering (4). <IMAGE>
