The subject of the present invention is a life jacket for sub-aqua diving. It consists of two flexible plastic sheets welded on their edges so as to leave a continuous area over the entire periphery, allowing stitching of canvas elements on which accessories, such as straps (8), pouches (15) or compressed gas bottle (cylinder) (14) support (13), are fixed by seams or adhesive bonding, the said bottle being mounted on the external surface of the jacket so that its valve is in proximity to the cord (18) for operating the purge valve (19). It may be suitable for all SCUBA divers, whether for sports fishing or recreation, for sub-aqua work or for rescue actions. <IMAGE>
