PURPOSE:To attain the simplification of the washing of an electrode and the enhancement of measuring accuracy by suppressing the generation of the adhesion substance on the electrode at the time of measurement, by blowing a breath inthe cement solution in a specimen container prior to measurement. CONSTITUTION:A straw shaped blow-in pipe 2 is provided to a specimen container 1 and a cement solution 3 (supernatant solution or filtrate) is received in the container 1 and a breath is blown in the cement solution 3 frm the blow-in pipe 2. By this method, calcium hydroxide and calcium carbonate in the cement solution are reacted with carbon dioxide in the breath of a human being to be converted to calcium bicarbonate. Therefore, the cement solution 3 is made alkaline without changing the concn. of salinity and the generation of the adhesion substance on an electrode at the time of measurement can be prevented. |
