PURPOSE:To hold various characteristics of a recorded image of a pressure- sensitive recording material, e.g. recording density and the like at a high level, particularly, to obtain excellent light resistance, by adding a multivalent metallic salt of nuclear-substituted salicyclic acid of a specific structure in a developer to be used for the pressure-sensitive recording material which utilizes a developing reaction between an electron-donating colorless dye and the electron- accepting developer. CONSTITUTION:The pressure-sensitive recording material utilizes a developing reaction between an electron-donating colorless dye and an electron-accepting developer. A multivalent metallic salt of nuclear-substituted salicyclic acid represented by the formula wherein (R1 is an isononyl or isododecyl group and R2 is an alkyl or cycloalkyl group which may have a substituent) is added to the developer of the recording material. Accordingly, the obtained pressure- sensitive recording material has particularly superior light-proof properties while various characteristics of the material, e.g. recording density of recorded images, water-proof properties and resistances to plasticizers are maintained at a high level. |
