PURPOSE:To provide a speed change control device for an automatic transmission, which can surely reduce shift quality even when a multiple downshift is carried out, in which the down shift of a first transmission section by the engaging operation of a first one-way clutch and the down shift of a second transmission section by the engaging operation of a second one-way clutch are simultaneously carried out. CONSTITUTION:At the time when both the engagement of an one-way clutch F0 and the engagement of an one-way clutch F1 are completed, an engine output is lowered down, and meanwhile, the lowering of an engine output by an engine output lowering means 94 is restored based on the later detection out of the aforesaid engagements, the engagement of the one-way clutch F0 is completed at the time different from the engagement of the one-way clutch F1, and even if the time of engagement completion of each clutch is scattered, the lowering of an engine output is timely started, so that shift quality is thereby surely reduced. |
