Two parallel journal-mounted shafts (1, 2), intended for helical screwstrips (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b) and/or blades arranged in a helical manner, rotate on the shaped bottom of the loading vessel (3) of an animal-feed mixing cart or cart for mixing animal feed and chopped straw; the helices (pitches) of the screws arranged on the same shaft are orientated in opposite directions and one of these screws is longer than half the length of the vessel (3). The longer (1b, 2b) sections of the parallel screws double up in the middle zone of the vat (3), their helices being orientated in the same direction. At the point at which the helix of the shafts (1, 2) is orientated in opposite directions, there is produced a direction of travel (L1-T1-L2-T2) of the feed mass inside the vessel (3) advancing by rotating either in a clockwise direction, or in an anticlockwise direction. <IMAGE>
