PURPOSE:To provide a tire building drum capable of eliminating adverse effect on the quality of a tire belt-like member after vulcanization and manufacturing the same at a low cost and provide a method of bonding the tire belt-like mem ber by utilizing said drum. CONSTITUTION:In a tire building drum, a rubber portion 4 which is subjected to mirror finish is provided on an outer peripheral surface 3 of a main body 1 of the drum, which is in a position corresponding to a top end T1 of a tire belt-like member T, which is wound around said outer peripheral surface. Further, in a bonding method of the tire belt-like member, the top end T1 of the tire belt-like member T made of unvulcanized rubber is stuck to the mirror- finished rubber portion 4 provided on the outer peripheral surface 3 of the main body 1 of the drum and, thereafter, the tire belt-like member is wound around and bonded. |
