HEAT-RESISTANT SOUND-INSULATING FELT FOR AIR-CONDITIONER

PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-resistant flame-proofing felt having sound-insulating- property and formability and useful e.g. for the sound-insulation of a compressor of an outdoor unit of an air-conditioner. CONSTITUTION:This sound-insulating felt is a needle felt produced by heating a fiber material containing >=50% of organic synthetic fiber such as acrylic, acrylonitrile, polyester, vinyl chloride, polyamide or polypropylene fiber at 100-180 deg.C for 10-60min and subjecting the heat-treated product to needle-punching process.
