PURPOSE:To provide a press contact roller capable of easily corresponding to the peripheral face configuration of an article to be molded by winding composite material around a mandrel. CONSTITUTION:This is a press contact roller in a filament winding machine, wherein on a flexible shaft 25 supported in its both ends, a plurality of ring rollers 3 are mounted in the form of being in close contact with each other to be rotatable and shiftable in the radial direction one another. The outer peripheral surface of each roller 23 is formed into a projectingly curved surface in its cross-section, and further the shaft 25 is made such that the diameter in the central portion is made larger than that in both the ends. |
