PURPOSE:To provide a shift lock device for car equipped with automatic transmission, with which the easiness in the installing works is enhanced, component parts can be standardized using a simple structure, and the costs can be reduced to a great extent. CONSTITUTION:A shift lock device concerned 10 includes a shift lever lock mechanism, and a shift lock solenoid 22 to constitute the mechanism is actuated with P-position sensing signal of a brake switch 40 and any existing NSS 54 while a key interlock solenoid 34 to constitute a key interlock mechanism is actuated with a sensing signal of a key interlock switch 24 which is to sense a sink of a lock plate 18. Therefore, the shift lock solenoid 22 can be operated without provision of any new component, and the key interlock switch 24 can be structured simply and made common for use in different car types. This leads to a reduction of the costs to a great extent. |
