摘要 A housing (A) which has a radiation-transparent window (52) forms a reservoir (50) for cooling oil. An X-ray tube (B) is mounted in the reservoir for cooling oil. The X-ray tube has a vacuum jacket with a cylindrical wall region (10). A cylindrical sleeve (70) is fitted around the cylindrical wall (10) and bounds a narrow interspace for cooling oil. In one embodiment, a motor (16) rotates the vacuum jacket and an anode (14). The cylindrical sleeve (70) and the cylindrical wall region (10) of the vacuum jacket with the film of cooling oil in the interspace form an axle bearing which minimises the required HP of the motor (16), a diaphragm is expanded (extended, stretched) in order to reduce the thickness of the film of cooling oil in the interspace of the axle bearing. The cylindrical sleeve (70) is preferably made of radiation-blocking material, so that the cooling-oil body (50) is screened against X-rays (42). A window (76) is located on a line with the housing window (52), so that an X-ray bundle can leave the arrangement. A radiation-blocking screen (84) is mounted between the cathode and one end of the tube in order to block off radiation which is emitted in this direction. The anode prevents the radiation from leaving in the other direction. An additional cylinder made of radiation-blocking material (86) can optionally be mounted between the cathode and the cylindrical sleeve (70). <IMAGE>
