Compressed gas is stored in the breech casing and released when the trigger releases the striker block which forces open a gas valve. The magazine runs in the guide (16) and its bores each accept a single bullet. The arming lever (40) is pivotted (41) on the side of the breech casing (1) and actuates the slide (14a) linked to the striker to guide it to the cocked position, also actuating the magazine. The arming lever handle (43) is placed close to the trigger (8). The safety catch (27), biased by the spring (26), drops into a notch (28) and holds the slide (14a) to lock the striker against firing. The other arm (29) engages a sloping ramp in the housing (16) of the magazine, so that if there is no magazine aligned with the barrel the striker cannot operate. When a magazine is presented, the safety catch is released. |
