There is proposed a dental X-ray diagnosis equipment for the preparation of panoramic films of the skull of a patient, in which the rotating unit (1) and the positioning unit (9) are arranged in the manner of extension arms so as to be pivotable about a horizontal axle bearing (pivot axis 7) and so as to be fixable in individual pivoting positions. The individual pivoting positions at the same time correspond to different heights of the patient, who is preferably seated. In order to prepare to take a film, the positioning unit (9) is initially adjusted to the patient and then the rotating unit (1) is adjusted in fixed coordination with the positioning unit (9). <IMAGE>
