Method for manufacturing a wooden workpiece

In the conventional glued-binder method, tree sections are divided up into individual boards which are then dried and thereafter successively glued (bonded) to form the wooden workpiece. In this case, the original pattern of the wood structure and wood figure is lost. To design the method such that the natural pattern of the wood structure and figure of the wooden workpiece is retained in a simple way, the boards are marked in the sequence in which they are severed from the tree section. The boards thus marked are glued together to form the wooden workpiece in such a way that thereafter they have the same position relative to one another as before the severing. The wooden workpiece then has the appearance of a naturally grown wood by virtue of the fact that the figure and wood structure extends beyond the scarcely visible glue lines. The wooden workpiece has the technological advantages of a glued binder (binding beam, trough beam). It can preferably be employed in the structural and visible timber sector, wherever it remains visible.
