The casement (10) moves relatively to a fixed frame (11) at least between a closed and an open position and the fitting is partic. for a casement which is tippable, parallel, stoppable and displaceable. A rod (20) on the casement is movable longitudinally by a handle and its one part (21) extends at least over areas of the lower casement edge. On this rod part (21) is located a bolt component (30) which projects against the lower edge of the fixed frame. At least one fixed closure plate (50) is located on the lower edge of the frame (11) and works in conjunction with the bolt component in several specific work positions by reason of varying longitudinal displacement (24) of the rod part (21). The bolt component (30) has a stop tooth (32) which is pliable and sprung, and the closure plate (50) comprises a rigid upright which in at least one of its work positions can be run past. USE - As a fitting for a movable window or door casement.
