Printing-ink feed device and usage device for printing machines

The ink fountain in printing machines receives the printing ink, which is discharged from here, via the abutting ink roller, to the inking unit. The ink in the ink fountain can be reached by air and dust. When the ink is changed, the ink fountain and the ink roller have to be washed by hand. The ink feed system for printing machines which is presented here has an ink cylinder which is provided longitudinally with respect to the ink roller and has slits towards the ink roller, a blocking roller with scraper blade, an ink-feeding blade and, therebeneath, a scraper blade. Located on one side of the ink cylinder is an ink cartridge, of which the contents are forced into the ink cylinder by compressed air. Opposite, the ink cylinder has a connection to compressed air and washing agent, while, in the ink cylinder, there is always a floating piston and, in the event of an ink cartridge being used, a closure piston. The ink feed system can be used in all printing machines which have an inking unit with rollers. It is preferably to be used in single-colour and two-colour litho offset printing machines because, in these, the ink feed system can be justified due to a relatively frequent change of ink.
