If, for cost-saving reasons, one selects spectacle frames with interchangeable lenses, but only lower half-frames with side pieces (ear pieces) and bridge piece, the prior art shows frames comprising a plurality of individual parts, a stiffening section, which runs over the lenses, for example an upper frame with a fastening to the lower frame being necessary. A lower half-frame without an upper frame could be bent when the spectacles are put on or taken off. This problem is solved in that the lenses (4) have at the outer upper four ends a vertical T-shaped or angular reinforcement (7) or (8) which are seated in a matching groove (3), (5) or (6) in the lower frame (1) and thus stabilise the lower frame (1) between the side piece and the bridge piece. The lenses (4) are slid in and out from above with little friction relative to the lower frame (1). If protection is desired for the upper lens edge of this lower frame (1), a lens rider (slide) (2), which matches the lower frame (1) and has a groove (9), is fitted in different sizes and in a detachable manner on the lenses (4), without fastening relative to the lower frame (1).
