The device serves for the alignment of sheets (6) according to two sheet stops (16 and 18) perpendicular to one another. For this purpose, friction rollers (4) are arranged on the periphery of a driven jogger device (1). The outer contours of all the friction rollers (4) rotating about the axis A-A form a cylindrical enveloping curve, on which the contact points (B) between the friction rollers (4) and the surface of the sheet (6) successively travel along without interruption in the manner of a multi-track helix.
