The invention relates to gas flow meters for medical or similar applications, in which a special design permits partial reuse of product components without purification or disinfection by replacement of components. The product area through which the gas flows is separated from the evaluation unit. The flow zone needs little material, and for renewed use of the product it can either be replaced with little effort, or else it has an easy-to-clean design. The evaluation unit through which the gas does not flow can be directly reused. This concept entails considerable economic benefits (low product price) and environmental value (avoidance of landfilling and material utilisation).
