Method for analysing the use of gradients for oblique MRI imaging

A method for delivering information regarding the limits of available functional gradient power, when an MRI instrument is used, in order to obtain oblique MRI images, calculates a "maximum absolute row sum" of a rotation matrix which defines the degree of obliqueness of the image. This maximum absolute row sum delivers one or more functional gradient target values which are based on the limitations of the physical gradients of the system.
