The invention consists in the essential elimination of the present operating limits of anti-theft devices for motor vehicles, which use radio-frequency transmission systems to switch on or off the control and locking units of the vehicles. In particular, it consists in reducing the signal transmission power, in order to make the recording of the codes used less feasible, or at least less visible; integrating the connection between the transmitter unit (transponder) and the receiver unit (receiver module) in such a way as to enable the engine to be turned off regardless of the specific signal sent by the remote controller. Both units include microprocessors whose application software is used to manage not only the data for transmission and the access recording and activation of the commands (password), but also encoded signals separated by a specified time constant. This provides a kind of continuous surveillance which makes it impossible for other persons to use the vehicle without the express consent of the owner.

|
