Ceiling luminaire

The ceiling luminaire has a roof reflector (12), a plate-shaped reflector (13) having an upwardly extended border (15) and, below the plate-shaped reflector, a tube reflector (tubular reflector) (18). The fluorescent lamp is arranged, so as to lie flat, in the centre of the plate-shaped reflector (13) over a central opening (16). All the reflectors are subdivided into facets, so that no disturbing mirror image of the lamp is produced for the viewer. A large amount of the light of the lamp is emitted in a laterally directed manner with a broad distribution of the light, and only a small amount of the light of the lamp passes downwards without reflection. The ceiling luminaire is particularly suitable as work-place luminaire for visual display terminals (display consoles).
