PURPOSE:To improve the stability by inserting spacers at intervals between a superconducting wire, and coating the surface of the spacers with a material which is capable of reducing the friction, thereby to reduce the friction between the superconducting wire at the time of winding. CONSTITUTION:While winding flat type superconducting wire 4 around a bobbin 2 and applying a tension at the right end, spacers 6 are inserted at intervals between the bobbin 2 and the superconducting wire 4. The friction between 2 and the superconducting wire 4 becomes smaller by (1-lambda) when the insertion rate of the spacers 6 is assumed to be lambda. However, if a material 7 such as can reduce the friction between the superconducting wire 4 is further applied on one or both surfaces of the spacers 6, the tension could be conducted to the beginning end of the winding of the superconducting wire 4. Regarding the spacers 6, those having a width substantially equal to that of the superconducting wire 4 are inserted even in the case that the coil is wound in the shape of a double-pancake, not to mention the case that it is wound in the shape of a solenoid. |
