PURPOSE:To provide the automatic accompaniment device which is increased in the numbers of chord types that can be inputted, musical sound parameters that can be controlled, etc., as compared with a conventional automatic accompaniment device and the external memory that those automatic accompaniment devices can share. CONSTITUTION:On a floppy disk, an extension file F2 containing accompaniment data that can be used only by this invented automatic accompaniment device and a basic file F1 containing accompaniment data that both the invented automatic accompaniment device and conventional automatic accompaniment device can use are stored; and this invented automatic accompaniment device generates musical sound data on the basis of the accompaniment data in the basic file F1 and extension file F2 and the conventional automatic accompaniment device generates musical sound data on the basis of the accompaniment data in the basic file F1. |
