<p>PURPOSE:To enable a hygroscopic material to undergo drying while the dehumidifier is in continuous operation. CONSTITUTION:A dehumidifying unit 10 is formed by arranging a plurality of plate-shaped hygroscopic materials 1, each of which consists of a molding of silica gel and has a multiplicity of through holes 2, in parallel and at suitable intervals and by fitting each of their two ends in an opening 12 in an elastic frame 11 in a manner of holding the silica gel moldings in place. Heating of this dehumidifying unit 10 from under by a heater H causes heated air to spread over the sides of each hygroscopic material 1 and dry it quickly; therefore, the dehumidifying operation does not need to be suspended at the time of the drying.</p> |
