PURPOSE:To show the reading of 'KANJI' (Chinese character) by writing 'KANA' (Japanese syllabary) at its side while holding information relating to its character sort by making it possible to receive an input written by 'KATAKANA' (square form of Japanese syllabary) as a part corresponding to a 'KANJI' part in the case of inputting a part or all of 'KANJI' part by 'KANA' writing. CONSTITUTION:When 'obo e gaki' (memorandom) e.g. is inputted, 'obo' (KANJI), 'e' (KANA), 'ga' (KATAKANA) and 'ki' (KATAKANA) are stored in a character candidate storing part 30, a character string preparing part 40 prepares a character string candidate 'obo e ga ki' and sends the candidate to a storage part 50. A 'KANJI'/'KATAKANA' character string preparing means 81 prepares a 'KANJI'/'KATAKANA' character string 'obo e ga ki' including 'KATAKANA' characters 'ga', 'ki' based upon the candidate and outputs the prepared character string to a 'KANJI' string preparing means 82. The preparing means 82 converts 'ga ki' written by 'KATAKANA' into 'KANJI' expressing 'gaki' based upon the 'KANJI'/'KATAKANA' character string 'obo e ga gi' to prepare and store a 'KANJI/ KANA' character string 'obo e ga ki' in the storage part 50. Thereby the 'KANJI/ KATAKANA' character string 'obo e ga ki' applied from the preparing part 40 and the 'KANJI/KANA' character string 'obo e ga ki' obtained from the preparing means 82 are stored in the storage part 50 as character string candidates. These candidates are displayed on an output part 70 based upon the judgement of a character string determining part 60. |
