PURPOSE:To economically replace an image forming cartridge, and provide a long-term stable printing quality. CONSTITUTION:A heating resistant element 31 having a thermosensitive paper 32 which is a thermosensitive coloring material on the surface is provided in an image forming cartridge 30, and the driving circuit 21 of the heating resistant element 31, a reflecting tape photosensor 22 for detecting the coloring of the thermosensitive coloring material 32, and a counter 17 for counting the print number are provided in an image forming device body 20. Thus, the counting content of the counter 17 for counting the print number can be surely reset only when the image forming cartridge 30 is replaced, and the operation of resetting the counter 17 by an user is not required. The print number can be continuously counted without resetting the counter 17 by the detaching and attaching operation of the image forming cartridge 30 at jam treatment or cleaning, and the replacing period of the image forming cartridge 30 can be properly notified. |
