PURPOSE:To improve operability by speedily permitting the use of an image input means by automatically canceling an image synthetic mode when any condition to stop processing is generated while the image synthesizing mode is set. CONSTITUTION:As a deciding means, a CPU 10a decides whether or not the number of synthetic image pages to be counted for each output of a synthesized image from a selector 1100 as an image synthesizing means is less than the number of pages designated by an operation part 20 as a page number instructing means. Based on the decision result, the CPU 10a automatically cancels the image synthesis mode after designated time is counted by a timer 10d. Therefore, even when any condition not to input the next image signal is generated in the state of reducing the number of synthesized image pages outputted from the selector 1100 less than the number of pages designated by the operation part 20, the image synthesis mode is canceled within previously designated time, and the use request of the image input means from the other processing state can be permitted. |
