METHOD FOR FORMING FUNCTIONAL COATING FILM AND THE LIKE IN FRAME PART ON SUBSTRATE

PURPOSE:To provide the method for forming coating films of plural window parts existing on conductive circuits of a transparent substrate having the plural conductive circuits and coating films having functionability, for example, light shieldability, of the frame parts embedding the parts exclusive of these window parts on the transparent substrate with good accuracy. CONSTITUTION:(a) A stage for forming a coating film 3 over the entire surface of the transparent substrate 1 by applying a negative type of positive type photoresist capable to impart a functionable coating film thereon, (b) an exposing stage for superposing a mask having such patterns as to apply the coating films covering the parts of the frame parts without covering the parts of the window parts 4 in the next developing stage on the surface of coating film and irradiating the coating film with rays, (c) a developing stage for allowing the coating films of the parts of the frame parts to remain and removing the coating films of the other parts and (d) a stage for forming electrodeposition coating films 5 in the plural window parts 4 existing on the conductive circuits 2 are successively executed.
