PURPOSE:To obtain a reflection type liquid crystal display panel which is free of display irregularity of its display part having large area and attracts observer's attention by a display that is rich in variation and also has high visibility by specifying the size of the unevenness of the surface of a reflecting film. CONSTITUTION:This reflection type liquid crystal display panel is defined as an object having a large screen which is >=500cm<2> in the area of the display part and >=1cm<2> in the area in the unit of minimum display. A reflection plate 6 arranged on one surface of a liquid crystal cell consists of a reflecting film 7 which reflects external incident light and a support member 8 which supports it; and the surface of the reflecting film has unevenness of >=0.5 and >=5mm. In this case, the difference in the height of the reflecting surface for the substrate surface on the opposite side and the display part of the liquid crystal cell between the highest localization and the lowest localization is >=5 and >=5mm. When the unevenness is >=0.5mm, display characteristics become insufficient and when >=5mm, field angle characteristics may decrease. |
