<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently retrieve picture data by displaying image data and vector data by scrolling simultaneously and continuously in a picture data processing device used at the time of displaying picture data such as a map, a design drawing, etc. CONSTITUTION:Drawing information consisting of image data and vector data are stored in each corresponding information storage device in an information output part 18 by deviding the information into a matrix shape, and the divided pictures corresponding to coordinate areas which are sufficiently wider than an area to be displayed in a display device 16 are read-out from the information output part 18 while synthesizing respective images/vectors of each divided picture and they are stored in a picture storage device 14. When a scrolling is instructed by a scroll instructing part 11, the coordinate areas corresponding to a scrolling range are calculated by a coordinate analyzing part 12, and picture data in which the synthesization of images/vectors is completed and which corresponds to the scrolling range are extracted from the picture storage device 14 to a picture input and output part 13, and displayed on the display device 16.</p> |
