PURPOSE:To improve operator's conversion operability by using a synthetic word converted into phonetical reading as a conversion candidate for 'KANA' (Japanese syllabary)/'KANJI' (Chinese character) conversion even when 'KANJI' corresponding to the reading of a word converted into phonetical reading is not registered in a dictionary. CONSTITUTION:A 'KANA'/'KANJI' conversion candidate generating part 1 refers to a dictionary 2, executes 'KANA'/'KANJI' conversion analysis and outputs a conversion candidate. A converted phonetic reading candidate extracting part 3 judges the probability of converting each conversion candidate into phonetic reading. A word judged at its probability of conversion to phonetic reading is converted into a word existing before conversion to phonetic reading and accesses the dictionary 2. A conversion candidate preparing part 5 merges the conversion candidate converted by the generating part 1 and a synthetic word obtained from the generating part 4 and outputs a final conversion candidate. |
