PURPOSE:To obtain a menu control device for a document preparing device which can position a cursor on a menu item having high using frequency without rearranging menu items in the case of displaying menues. CONSTITUTION:When a menu key mounted on an input device 1 is depressed, a main menu is displayed on a display part 6 by a menu display control means 8 and one item out of menu items to be displayed is white-and-black inversely displayed as a temporarily selected display item. A selected item with the highest priority which is stored in a menu priority selected item storage means 9 is specified as the temporarily selected display item based upon prescribed priority order. When a select key mounted on the input device 1 is depressed, the temporarily selected display item is determined as a selected item. |
