PURPOSE:To simplify the setting of data length in the setting of the attribute of the data item of a data processor and to clarify the designation of the item of a sample text in the data processor which fetches the attribute of the data item from the sample text. CONSTITUTION:Text information is generated by a word processor function, and the data length is sampled from the text information at a position instructed by an instruction means (MO), and it is stored as the attribute of the length of the data item. Also, in the data item attribute defining method for the data processor to define the attribute of each item data, the text information generated by the word processor function is displayed, and an area (EC) for data item attribute fetching is moved to a display format screen area by drag processing by operating a mouse (MO), and the attribute is sampled from the text information at a position located after movement, then, it is stored as the attribute of the data item. |
