PURPOSE:To provide convenience to a person not contracting automatic transfer of a public utility charge and to improve the service of the telephone user by entering a special number, a customer code, and a transfer monetary amount from a public telephone set and allowing an exchange to send a charging pulse from a trunk based on a charging call unit. CONSTITUTION:A public telephone set 1 is connected to a peripheral equipment 2 via a trunk 3 by dialing a special number from the telephone set 1. The peripheral equipment 2 sends a guidance talkie. Then the telephone set 1 uses a PB dial signal to enter its own customer code. Then the equipment 2 sends a guidance talkie. The telephone set 1 uses the PB dial signal to enter a transfer monetary amount. The PB dial signal received by the equipment 2 and a water supply charge indication are transferred to a service control station 12 from an exchange 4. A control station 12 converts the monetary amount being the sum of the transfer monetary amount and a substitution commission into a charging call unit and a charging pulse is sent to the telephone set 1 via the exchange 4. The equipment 2 sends the guidance talkie representing the normal end to the telephone set 1. |
