PURPOSE:To precisely know an inferiority occurring condition by calculating a determining area, and by checking whether the determining area is large or small so as to determine a degree of missing. CONSTITUTION:An image processing circuit receives an image output from a CCD camera, and obtains a binary image V. Further, boundary coordinates (a, b) in the X-axial direction and boundary coordinates (c, d) in the Y-axial direction in the image V is obtained. Further, a straight line LX passing the coordinates (a, b) is obtained from the coordinates (a, b) while a straight line LY passing the coordinates (c, d) is obtained from the coordinates (c, d), and the virtual crosspoint A between the two straight lines LX, LY is obtained from these lines. Thereafter, a plurality of points on an edge along, for example, the Y-axial direction are plotted in the vicinity of the coordinates A in the image V, and then, boundary coordinates a1, b1 are again obtained. Then a straight line segment D connecting between the coordinates a1, b1 is obtained. Further, a determining distance L between the line segment D and the coordinates A is calculated. Further, a determining area KA=LXDdivided by 2. Further, whether the area KA is large or small is checked so as to determine the degree of missing. The result of the determination is fed-back to a control line, and thereby it is possible to precisely know an inferiority occurring condition. |
