PURPOSE:To obtain a drug preparation for oral administration having uniform drug-content and particle size and smooth surface, without using a solvent, by colliding particle of solid coating substance with a mixture, etc., of drug particle or granule utilizing a high-speed air flow. CONSTITUTION:Particles of a solid coating substance and drug particles, granules or matrix particles of solid coating substance for drug are circulated in a treating vessel with a high-speed air flow to make the collision of the particles with each other or the particles with the inner wall of the vessel. A drug preparation for oral administration consisting of the drug coated with the solid coating substance can be prepared by this process. Since a dense coating can be applied to fine particles of a drug having disagreeable taste by the above process, the process can be applied for prolonging the drug action and masking bitter taste. The solid coating substance is preferably a mixture of finely pulverized solid fat and oil (e.g. carnauba wax) and an anticoagulant (e.g. fine powder of SiO2) and is used in an amount of 20-80wt.% based on the drug. The speed of the air flow is 50-100m/sec.
