FAILURE DETECTING DEVICE FOR ON-VEHICLE SENSOR

PURPOSE:To prevent the misdetection of the failure of an on-vehicle sensor in a large current load driving state set by an on-vehicle controller in regard of a failure detecting device for the on-vehicle sensor that has such a layout where the ground positions are set apart from each other to secure the reference voltage between the voltage sensor and the on-vehicle controller which detects the failure of the sensor. CONSTITUTION:An on-vehicle controller (c) decides the failure of an on-vehicle sensor (a) when the analog signal transmitted from the sensor (a) gets out of a normal deciding range. A sensor failure detecting circuit (f) of the controller (c) is provided with a sensor failure detection inhibiting means (g) to inhibit detection of the failure of the sensor (a) in a large current load driving state set by the controller (c).
