PURPOSE:To easily form a postcard. CONSTITUTION:A gradation image and a title image which are inputted from input terminals 10 and 16 are made into digital data, which are written in an image memory 13 and a title memory 18 by a memory controller 27. A mode selection knob 31 is operated to select a titled postcard mode and with a print key operated, the gradation image data are read in a work memory 24, so that an image arithmetic processing IC 25 performs a thinning-out and longitudinal/lateral converting process. The processed gradation image data are read in the image memory 13 again and sent to an image composing circuit 35. Here, title image data are composed and the composite image is printed on thermal recording paper 33 by a thermal head 38. The printed recording paper has an image of a half picture plane recorded on its upper or lower half part and an explanation sentence, a greeting sentence, etc., recorded on the remaining part. |
