HIGH RATE CHIRAL NEMATIC LIQUID CRYSTAL POLARIZATION BODY

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal circularly polarized body which is lightweight and has a high energy efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The practical transmittance of light is increased, thereby the circularly polarized body is made light in weight and low in power consumption by providing the circularly polarized light body with a polymer chiral nematic liquid crystal. The polymer chiral nematic liquid crystal is constituted of one or plural independent films or is supported on one glass substrate. The liquid crystal polarized body has a sufficient band width to transmit the radiation of light over the entire visible spectrum.
