<p>PURPOSE:To make a device wireless and to detect a position without a power source on the device side by receiving the extent of movement of a pointing device in a form of the passage change of reflected light and measuring the frequency in passage of this light to detect the position. CONSTITUTION:A main body device (for example, a personal computer or terminal fixed device) 1 is provided with a light emitting means 2, a light reception means 3, and a counting means 4, and a mobile device (pointing device) 5 is provided with a movement extent detecting means 7 and a deflecting means 6 which reflects and deflects light emitted from the fixed device 1 toward the fixed device 1 in accordance with the detected extent of movement. Information of the extent of movement of the pointing device 5 is transmitted by the change of plural angles of reflection of light, and the light reception side of the fixed device 1 detects the extent of movement by passage of light in the light reception means 3. Since cooedinates are inputted in plural directions such as directions of the X axis and Y axis, a reflection mirror is provided with filters so that only wavelength bands different by axes are reflected.</p> |
