<p>PURPOSE:To provide an external storage simple in structure, short in access time, excellent in loading/unloading performance and high in reliability. CONSTITUTION:An external storage consists of an external storage module 1 of small thickness which contains a storage medium element including at least a single nonvolatile semiconductor memory device 2 transformed into a package of one-side-sealed type, an external storage main body 1' which contains a plane type external connection terminal that is connected to the input/output terminal of the storage medium element and exposed to the rear face side of the module 1, and an external storage unit 8 consisting of an external storage loading/unloading part which loads and unloads the main body 1' insertingly and ejectingly, and elastic contact 7a which is electrically connected to the external connection terminal of the main body 1', and an IC element 7d which drives and controls the storage medium element.</p> |
