EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND EQUIPMENT CONNECTION SETTING METHOD FOR THE EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of the equipment management by providing a means to which plural kinds of equipments controlled or monitored externally are connected and displaying information of the equipment connection means or the like set by a central controller onto a display means provided in the means so as to process the management of lots of equipments altogether thereby reducing the time required for maintenance. CONSTITUTION:When an indoor setting temperature is adjusted for, e.g. an air- conditioner 1a from a central equipment 4, the central equipment 4 sends an initial identification signal to an interface unit IFU 3 to confirm and command a kind of an external connection terminal of a connection device and a model of a terminal equipment. The IFU 3 receives the signal and sends an identification signal in terms of a serial transmission text pulse signal to the terminal equipment 1a. The terminal equipment 1a being the air-conditioner receives the serial signal, recognizes the content of information and sends a reply signal within a predetermined time. The IFU3 receives a reply signal from the terminal equipment 1a and sends the information to the central equipment 4 and displays it on a display device 10. The central equipment 4 commands the set temperature based on the information.
