GAS COOLING CHAMBER AND WASTE TREATMENT APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To lower the temperature of gas at a gas outlet as well as preventing unvaporized cooling water from dripping onto the bottom of a cooling device without the need of enlarging the effective volume of a gas cooling chamber. CONSTITUTION:A gas cooling chamber 12 has a gas inlet 51 and a gas outlet 52 respectively provided at the top and bottom thereof. A first spray nozzle 64 is provided at a position located closely below the gas inlet 51. A second spray nozzle 66 is provided approximately at the center of the first spray nozzle 64 and the gas outlet 52. The second spray nozzle 66 has a shape of an 'L' and a nozzle 66c at the end thereof is directed upward.
