PURPOSE:To provide an efficient word processor capable of preventing the generation of an error due to mismatching between the information sort of document data and an output device and automatically determining a combination. CONSTITUTION:A document management table 11 is constituted of a document management header part 5 and an information sort table 19. The header part 5 has a document name field for recording a document name and other fields 13 for recording other information. The table 19 includes a page number field 14 for recording the attributes of respective pages, i.e., the page numbers of data, a color flag 15 indicating colored data, a monochromatic flag 16 indicating monochromatic data, a binary flag 17 indicating binary data, and a multi-valued flag 18 indicating multi-valued data. The table 11 is compared with a printer management table to select and output a printer matched with the attribute of document data. If there is no matched printer, the document data are converted in accordance with the attribute of a printer and the converted data are outputted. |
