The device for preventing heat-loss of boiled water or dangerous burn injury in boiling process, detects the open state and stops the boiling operation if the cover is open. The boiling type washing machine having a casing, a washing tank, a cover mounted at the casing, a micro processor, comprises an open state detector (5) for detecting the opening of the cover connected with the input side of the micro computer; a micro computer for controlling the boiling step. If the cover is open, the boiling operation is stopped and if the cover is closed, after boiling and dehydrating steps are finished, the cover may be opened.
