PURPOSE:To permit the manufacture of a tubular body, having a thick part and made of thermoplastic resin, by a method wherein the outer peripheral surface of tip end of the tubular body made of thermoplastic resin and the inner peripheral surface of the tip end of another tubular body, having a substantially same as for slightly smaller inner diameter, are heated and molten, then the latter is inserted into the former to weld them through fusion welding. CONSTITUTION:The inner peripheral surface of tip end of a large diametral thermoplastic resin tubular body 4 and the outer peripheral surface of tip end of another thermoplastic resin tubular body 5 are heated by a heater 6. The heater 6 is provided with a heater body 61 at the center thereof and a projection 62, having a size capable of being inserted into the tip end of the large diametral thermoplastic resin tubular body 4, is provided at one side of the heater 61. The inner peripheral surface of tip end of the large diametral thermoplastic resin tubular body 4 can be heated by the projected part 62. On the other hand, the heater 61 is provided with another projected part 63, projected so as to cover the tip end of the thermoplastic resin tubular body 5, on the other side of the heater 61 whereby the outer peripheral surface of tip end of the same tubular body 5 can be heated. |
